‘World Without End / In Finem Mundi’

Over an exact period of two weeks visual artist Christopher Webb spent time creating a project that included painting, writing, music composition and a collaborative sound recording. This exhibition serves as the documentation of the artist's time spent as the Artist-In-Residence at the Annapolis Royal Community Arts Council.

There were no outcomes in mind at the beginning of the residency. The only objectives the artist had previous to the start of the residency was to undertake an uninterrupted working period, experiment with compositions based within the framework of a circle, and to write lyrics and attempt to compose music. All of the musicians were initially contacted during the artists’ time in Annapolis Royal and the first time they saw the music and words was during the 4 hour period of rehearsal and recording. Everything you see or read below was created within this two week period.
